Kennedy is currently serving as the Advocacy Officer for Centre for Youth of Hope (CEYOHO) in Botswana. He received his training from several reputable organizations such as the AIDS Alliance of Southern Africa (ARASA), Treatment Action Group (TAG) USA, Treatment Action Campaign (TAC) South Africa, and AVAC–USA and he proudly served as the AVAC advocacy fellow in 2017. He is also an International AIDS Society (IAS) advocacy for HIV Cure Academy Alumni. He is a long-time treatment access advocate and basic science literacy trainer. He has an established history in treatment access advocacy spanning over 20 years. Kennedy is a founding member of the Botswana Treatment Literacy Coalition and helped form the Botswana Media Science Café. He provides leadership, mentorship, and support for meaningful involvement of people living with HIV in the AIDS response. Kennedy’s paralegal and human rights background continue to be his backbone in ensuring a stronger human rights approach in HIV care and prevention programs. He also organized and convened the virtual U=U Africa meeting that ushered in the formation of the U=U Africa Forum in 2019. He also convened the first Botswana U=U stakeholders conference in 2020.
