Jefferson County Alabama Joins U=U as the First County in the U.S. Deep South

Today the Jefferson County Board of Health adopted a resolution to endorse Prevention Access Campaign’s consensus statement and join the U=U campaign.  Jefferson County is the most populous county in Alabama and includes the City of Birmingham.

The powerful resolution “urges Jefferson County Department of Health and its partners to spread the message broadly, especially to people living with HIV who may not be seeking or accessing antiretroviral treatment, or who may not be remaining in treatment due to stigma, fear, misinformation, or other barriers.”
