“HIV experts from around the world have joined together to declare that — with effective treatment — the risk of HIV transmission is ‘negligible’. A statement, released by the Prevention Access Campaign, says: ‘People living with HIV on [antiretroviral therapy] with an undetectable viral load in their blood have a negligible risk of sexual transmission of HIV.’ (Previously, official guidelines have maintained that HIV treatment simply minimised the risk of transmission.)”
